Stephanie White

Stephanie White began teaching in 1988 with the first class accepted into the Agricultural Technology Program. She has taught the Advanced Information Systems, Ag Sales, Computer Applications, Introduction to Agribusiness Management and Finance, Marketing Ag Products, Personnel Management, and Strategic Marketing and Entrepreneurship courses. Stephanie has three years of experience in agricultural sales with Telmark and the National Farm and Industrial Equipment Dealers Association. She took a break from teaching between 1994 and 2000 to run her own business providing marketing consulting, training, and software to agricultural lenders throughout the United States. She met her husband Mark during her bachelor's degree days at Virginia Tech in Agricultural Economics. They have operated a beef cow/calf operation and taxidermy shop in Craig County, Virginia. They have recently sold these businesses in order to purchase a family farm in Tazewell County. They have an eight year old son, Mark, who is hopefully a Hokie in the making. Stephanie was named the Director of the Program in July of 2006. She completed a master's degree in Instructional Design and Technology and is currently working towards a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration.
