College Alumni Organization

All graduates of any degree program offered by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Virginia Tech are members of the College Alumni Organization.

Purpose

The six purposes of the College Alumni Organization are:

  1. To maintain an effective college alumni organization in concert with constituent organization of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association.
  2. To promote the general welfare of the College in concert with students, administrators, and faculty of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
  3. To encourage cooperation, support, communication, and networking among students, administrators, and faculty of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
  4. To participate actively in appropriate programs and activities of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
  5. To participate actively in appropriate programs and activities of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association.
  6. To serve as a parent organization for all alumni groups within the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

A county Coordinator network was established to strengthen the organization throughout the state. This allows members to become involved while serving the college and alumni.

The Annual College Homecoming Celebration is held each fall in conjunction with the Virginia Tech Homecoming football game. It is a day for all alumni and their families to socialize and enjoy lunch before the big game at Lane Stadium. Activities include door prizes, special guests, entertainment, and buffet lunch.

The Board of Directors encourages you to become involved in your College Alumni Organization.
