Overview

Graduate students completing their Ph.D. requirements in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, College of Natural Resources, and College of Veterinary Medicine may be considered for the Graduate Dissertation Award.

Selection Criteria (How recipients will be chosen)

The letter of nominations must verify that the individual meets the following criteria:

Completed the Ph.D. requirements within the past 18 months.

Published or had at least one article accepted for publication in a refereed journal.

Exhibited superior research ability and potential for future contributions to agriculture.

Shown superior academic performance in courses and potential for teaching as demonstrated by presentations in seminars or as a teaching assistant in courses (if applicable). 

Packet Requirements (What to submit)

Submit the letter of nomination, curriculum vita, an abstract of the dissertation, copy of journal article(s), and teaching evaluations (if applicable) to the chair of the selection committee.
