Overview

The Phi Beta Delta International Service Award is designed to honor Virginia Tech students worthy of recognition for their great interest and involvement in international activities while at Virginia Tech and superior scholastic achievement.  The award will take the form of a suitably inscribed plaque.  It shall be awarded during the annual spring chapter initiation ceremony tentatively scheduled for April 20, 2005.

Eligibility (Who can apply / be nominated)

Applicants should be current undergraduate or graduate students at Virginia Tech. 
Applicants shall have participated in the Virginia Tech international education mission, demonstrated interest and involvement in international activities while at Virginia Tech.
Applicants must have an overall grade point average equaling or exceeding 3.3 for undergraduate and 3.7 for graduate students.
Applicants shall be willing and able to attend the spring ceremony and to receive the award in person.

Packet Requirements (What to submit)

Please submit a separate nomination form for each nominee and also attach a letter of nomination summarizing the qualifications of the nominee for the award (as many as three additional letters of recommendation may be included).

The nomination form should include the type of nomination (student, faculty, or staff).  Nominee Information should include Position and/or title, street address, city, state, zip, home and work telephone numbers, and email address.  The person submitting the nomination should also include their own name, position and/or title, street address, city, state, zip, home and work telephone numbers, and email address.

Up to a 500 word statement describing the achievements of the nominee and reason for his/her nomination.
