students will earn a stipend relative to their academic level.
Prior experience not required—training will be provided!

Gain Valuable Experience and Demonstrate Your Skills in:
GIS Software  Digital Cartography  GPS  AutoCAD  Databases  Surveying  Engineering  Remote Sensing

Requirements

Primary duties include:
• Support development, maintenance and data input in GIS for the Center
• Perform updates to building floor plans and space utilization, environmental data, and center infrastructure
• Assist with modifications of center spatial data and web interface

NASA GIS Technician Internship Eligibility:
• U.S. Citizen and age 16 or older at time of selection
• High school, community college, undergraduate, and graduate students
• Minimum of 12 credit hours/18 quarter hours completed with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 required for college students
• Enrolled full-time or part-time and majoring in Geography, Technology, Civil Engineering preferred, other majors considered

Fall 2008 Internships – September 9 to December 19 (Deadline July 1)
Spring 2009 Semester – January 7 to May 23 (Deadline November 1)
