Office of Academic Programs

Welcome!

The staff and I are available to assist students and provide information about academic policies and opportunities in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Our responsibilities span the career of a student from providing current, relevant information to prospective students through certifying the completion of degree requirements for graduation.

The Office of Academic Programs is located in 1060 Litton-Reaves Hall. Please stop by if you have questions about educational opportunities in any of our majors.  We will ensure that you contact the appropriate departmental faculty and staff who will provide the most useful information to you.

We are the college resource for evaluating and resolving problems related to undergraduate education. We maintain copies of student academic records for three years after graduation.  If you have specific questions about your records, be certain that you have photo identification available when you visit our office.

You can access a range of forms related to academic programs at (http://www.cals.vt.edu/students/current/StudentForms.html). On this page you will find forms required to change your major into our college, request course withdrawal, apply for education abroad, and petition to take courses at another institution. We make it a priority to address student requests promptly.

Thank you for your interest in the Office of Academic Programs in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and best wishes in achieving your academic goals.

Mary A. Marchant
Associate Dean and Director of Academic Programs
