- Director of Alumni Relations, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
Jamie has served as the director of alumni relations for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Virginia Tech since January 2006. She serves as the key alumni, constituent, and stakeholder engagement officer in the college responsible for providing leadership, stewardship, and guidance to the college’s advancement engagement efforts. Jamie also holds a joint appointment with the Virginia Tech Alumni Relations office where she is responsible for assisting with reunions and other special programs of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association.
She provides leadership for the college’s key volunteer and stakeholder groups including the CALS Alumni Organization and the Dean’s Advisory Council and guidance to other departmental and unit level volunteer boards. She is the editor of CALS Connections, the college’s alumni e-newsletter.
Jamie served as President of NAADA, the National Agricultural Alumni and Development Association from 2016-2018.
Jamie grew up on a small farm in southwestern Pennsylvania where her family raises purebred Simmental cattle. She was a member of 4-H and the American Junior Simmental Association. She received her B.S. in Agriculture from the University of Central Missouri (1999), an M.S. in Animal Science – Reproductive Physiology from Kansas State University (2001), and an M.S. in Agricultural and Extension Education in the Department of Agricultural, Leadership, and Community Education at Virginia Tech (2021). Jamie and her husband, Warren, have two daughters, Emma and Madison.
