Becca Emery serves as the Administrative Assistant to Dr. Susan Duncan, the Associate Director of VAES and the Director of the Center for Advanced Innovation in Agriculture. She is a part of the CALS Research team which involves providing support in communications to the Agricultural Research and Extension Centers, including website updates, newsletters, event management, flyers, interview arrangements, and other support to the ARECs as it arrises. Some of her primary duties include front office support of the Dean’s Suite, travel arrangements for the Associate Deans and Associate Director, supporting CALS Global, communications to CALS faculty and the New Faculty Professional Development Cohort, and other various administrative tasks as required on a daily basis. Becca is a Hokie Alumni as she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech in 2013 while working with a local Engineering firm, where she gained seven years of experience as a Project Administrator.
Becca is the Administrative Assistant for the Center for Advanced Innovation in Agriculture which involves planning and managing the CAIA events, managing the website, creating the CAIA Newsletter, and all communications related to the Center.
