Becca Emery serves as the Programs Assistant for the Virginia Agricultural Experiment Station and for the Center for Advanced Innovation in Agriculture (CAIA). She is a part of the CALS Research team which involves providing support in communications to the Agricultural Research and Extension Centers (ARECs), including website updates, newsletters, event management, flyers, interview arrangements, and other support to the ARECs as it arrises.

As the Programs Assistant for CAIA, she manages communications between CAIA leadership and the affiliate faculty, Becca is in charge of managing the website, develops the CAIA newsletter, and plans CAIA events and meetings.

Some of her primary duties in support of the VAES Director and VAES Interim Associate Director, and CAIA include: 

  • Travel arrangements
  • manages Interim Associate Director of VAES' calendar
  • monthly reconcilation
  • Assists with internal RFP preparation, submission and review
  • Provides administrative support as necessary

Becca is a Hokie Alumni as she received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech in 2013 while working with a local Engineering firm, where she gained seven years of experience as a Project Administrator.
