Learn more about this degree offered by the school of plant and environmental sciences.

The environmental science curriculum is a multidisciplinary program oriented towards science and technology, in which students learn about preserving, protecting, and remediating our natural resources and the ecosystems which provide them. We are committed to understanding our absolute dependence on—and our unfortunate tendency to do great harm to—the fundamental units of the biosphere that provide us the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, and the soil we live on. Students gain a parctical understanding of the biosphere through experential learning expereinces in classes as well as opportunities outside of the classroom. This hands on approach provides our graduates with the knowledge and skill set to excell as environmental professionals. Environmental science graduates are in great demand, finding employment in the public and private sectors and in environmental advocacy. Many of our students continue on to graduate school to pursue environmental research, or professional school to pursue environmental law.
