Description

This course is intended to assist students in identifying and defining leadership in formal and non‐formal educational settings, communities, and organizations.

Learning Objectives

  • Define leadership in the context of communities, organizations, and individuals.
  • Identify, discuss, and apply personal strengths in self and others.
  • Apply shared leadership in a small group setting.
  • Identify, discuss, and apply leadership theories, including:
    • Trait leadership
    • Skill‐based leadership
    • Situational leadership
    • Path‐goal leadership theory
    • Transformational leadership
    • Team leadership
