University Financial Aid Options

Several options for financial aid are offered through the Virginia Tech Office of University Scholarships and Financial Aid.

Scholarship Opportunities

More than 500 scholarships, each valued between $200 and $6,000 are awarded every year to students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, participation in extracurricular activities, career goals, and financial need.

To be considered for any scholarships in the college or in departments within the college, students must complete the online scholarship application. The scholarship deadline is January 22, 2024. For more information about scholarships in the college, please contact Cindy Beatty, beatty@vt.edu

Apply for scholarships

All students who wish to be considered for college scholarships are strongly encouraged to complete the FAFSA.  Many of the college scholarships are based on financial need, and only students with documented financial need will be considered for those scholarships.

Please note, Federal Student Aid notified colleges and universities that the 2024-2025 FAFSA will not open on October 1, 2023. We will update this date as soon as we know when the 2024-2025 FAFSA will be available.
