Welcome to the Curriculum Committee website. The committee's responsibilities are reviewing and approving new and revised course proposals, revised undergraduate check sheets, new and revised options, and new degree programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level. The committee consists of faculty from departments within the college.
If you are new to the course approval process, we suggest you review the university guidelines and procedures. When you plan to submit a course proposal, please consult with the curriculum committee chair or secretary prior to submission. You, or your designee, must attend the curriculum committee meeting when your proposal is reviewed. This will allow committee members to ask questions for clarification and will help expedite the approval process.
In order to submit a proposal, submit the coversheet separately (signed by the department curriculum chair, or the department head) as a PDF file and send a Word or PDF file in this order: proposal, resource letter, and recommendation letter(s) if needed. Recommendations by e-mail are acceptable and may be forwarded to email@example.com. Please name the file in this format: designator-number-ADP-title. Example: CSES-4444-Managed-Ecosystems-Serv-&-Sust. Send this file to Anna Taylor, secretary; Dave Winston, chair; and Erik Ervin, assistant dean.
